Master Schoenbrun is a 5th degree black belt (5th Dan). She was awarded “Instructor of the Year 2004” by The Women’s Sport Foundation and D.C. Taekwondo Association.
She is a certified International Referee, and was awarded "Outstanding Female Referee, 2008 US National Championships," by USA Taekwondo, as well as “2007 NCTA Referee of the Year,” by the National Collegiate Taekwondo Association and National Collegiate Taekwondo Referee Association.
Master Schoenbrun is a Level 2 coach (USTU) and Associate Coach (USAT). She was instructor and coach of the University of Maryland Taekwondo Club from 2001 – 2003, and coached Silver and Bronze medalists (color belts) at the 2001 National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships. She also coached the Silver medalist at the 2003 National Executive Seniors.
Master Schoenbrun medaled in both poomsae (forms) and gyorugi (sparring) in the “Executive Seniors/Ultras” division of Nationals, each year from 1999 to 2003.
Classes for children and adults are held at the Takoma Park Community Center in Takoma Park, Maryland. Contact the Recreation Department or Master Schoenbrun for more information about classes.
